I am getting my hair highlighted tomorrow afternoon, and am unsure as to what is the best way to go in. I haven't yet washed my hair today. Should I wash it tonight before bed, tomorrow morning, or not at all? I know that sometimes just washed hair doesn't hold things well.. but that could be just for updo's?

wash it whenever you wish to. Just make sure you dry it, we to do double the work! It will not do anything to your highlight, your stylist is going to wash it after the service too. We like working on clean hair, and its easier to foil a clean head of hair as oppose to dirty hair.

I would not wash it right before your appoinment. Wash it tonight before bed. I have read that your natural oils hold the color better, so it's best to go with unwashed hair. Hope this helps.

use shampoo for color treated hair and it should not matter

dirty hair holds color better.....after try and leave it for a day or two before washing and use a color conserving shampoo even if just panteen or something...you don't need to go broke using a salon product
