Feel ripped off after getting my hair highlighted, what should I do?

I just went to this lady for the first time and got a cut and partial highlight. It cost $105 total, but I am not happy with the highlight because I have a few tiger stripes (where the foils slipped and now there is an horizontal line in my hair). I think it should be MUCH more profesional with it costing that much. Should I go back?

last time I got my highlights I thought it should have been more noticeable in the back and when I brought it to their attention was told that they were sorry and would do a better job next time. honey there wont be a next time. I have since taken my money elsewhere, paid less and got a better job done.

you can ask them to try to fix it but the strippers are so harsh on your hair that it may end up making it worse or damaging your hair. considering how quick they grow out I would say just forget about it. Unless its SUPER noticeable in which case you may want to try a different salon to have it fixed.

but the way thats nothing...I usually pay about $210 for cut/wash/full foil highlights. so dont worry you didnt splurge or anything - you paid the average price.

i would call to speak to the mkanager, and tell thekm! they want the customer to be happy with the service they recieve...call them and get a free re-do (not by the same person)

Someone who charges this much should have at least if not satisfied come by within 10 days. If you are unhappy, please go back and tell them. I am sure they would want your business in the future. Call first and talk to the supervisor and make appt so they can arrange to make it right.

I would of gone as soon as I noticed. The leakage is called bleeding. Go back right this moment. Do not wait any longer. I doubt if they give back money. If they give you any grief. Just start spreading the word around, via, local papers. As Ivana Trump said, don't get angry, get EVEN!!!!!

In the UK you are witinh your rights to demand your money back, the shop do not have to give you this if they offer to correct your hair.. If that was me I would go back and say how ppl have commented on your hair, but none were compliments. Also that you didn't ask to have tiger stripes and certainly wouldn't have paid for this service. I feel you have every right to either demand your money back or insist they correct it and continue on the care of your hair (as you will now have to have more chemicles in your hair), to the amount of the origional bill. If they are a respected salon they will oblige, as hair salons are mainly word of mouth. Good luck

ALWAYS ASK WHAT THE PRICE WILL BE WHEN YOU FIRST SIT IN THE CHAIR...MOST SALONS ARE NOW CHARGING FOR EVERY INDIVIDUAL THING THEY DO TO YOUR HAIR...I GOT RIPPED OFF LAST MONTH BECAUSE THE LADY USED HER CHI IRON TO STRAIGTEN MY HAIR AND SHE CHARGED ME 40 BUCKS JUST FOR USING THE CHI...MY HAIR IS NOT EVEN PAST MY EARS...(VERY SHORT) AND I HAVE A CHI AT HOME...I ONLY ASKED HER TO BLOW IT STRAIGHT. HER EXCUSE WAS "WHEN WE USE THE CHI IRON IT IS ALWAYS MORE..." I TOLD HER I WOULDNT BE BACK! THEY SHOULD TELL YOU AHEAD OF TIME ..."IF I USE THIS CI IRON IT WILL BE EXTRA" THAT SUCKS YOU GOT TIGER STRIPPED BUT LIVE AND LEARN AND DONT GO BACK TO HER! THAT WILL HURT HER THE MOST....BUT DONT FORGET TO TIP YOUR STYLIST WHEN THEY DO A GREAT JOB!

I would definately call and talk to a manager or something. Especially if they screwed something up. I would either tell them to fix it or get my money back.
